El 2013 arrenca amb una gran notícia per a la diplomàcia ciutadana, el neixement de l'associació City to City per a recuperar, preservar, difondre i actualitzar la memòria de dues dècades d'amistat i cooperació entre Barcelona i les ciutats que van formar part del Districte 11, especialment la capital de Bòsnia i Hercegovina, Sarajevo.
Una web (http://www.districte11.org/index.htm) recull ja la visió d'aquesta associació ciutadana impulsada per molts dels que hi creiem i hi vam posar el nostre granet de sorra i, per això, hem obert, precisament, un compte de crowdfunding a la pàgina de "Mi grano de arena" per recollir els fons necessaris per a la constitució de la Fundació Districte 11 - City to City: http://www.migranodearena.org/associaciodistricte11
Un altre cop, amb la solidaritat i la participació de tots, farem un pas més cap a la consolidació d'una diplomàcia dels ciutadans que ens ajudi a evitar nous Sarajevos!
